Preschool Room 1

4 years – 5 years

Both Preschools rooms focus on encouraging a love of learning that will prepare children for life. Preschool Room 1 is programmed to meet the ever expanding interest and abilities of the children. Using the Early Years Framework (EYLF) we focus on a number of areas of interest throughout the year , these are based on child’s interests, and ways of extending their development. We also prepare children for school through a variety of experiences including name recognition, number and alphabet recognition and social skills development. All staff support and encourage the children developing independence and communication skills at every opportunity. We have a great natural outdoor environment that we use with the Preschool 2 room to expand and develop our gross motor skills and hand/ eye coordination. We also enjoy finding out about the weather, growing plants and seeds and caring for the environment..

Preschool Room 2

4 years – 5 years

In Preschool 2 room we have a focus on School Readiness, whilst still programming for individual interests and abilities. In small groups we explore musical and literacy concepts on a daily basis. We also program specific school readiness activities based on literacy, numeracy, fine motor, cognitive and social skills development. This program is based on the children’s needs and family input.

Giraffe Early Learning Centre Mosman offer quality childcare in Mosman catering for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Our Mosman childcare centre manager encourages a day care environment that makes the children feel safe whilst enjoying the freedom to express themselves as individuals. Our Childcare Centre provides nutritional meals, nappies and provide a strong foundation for early education.
