Helen – Childcare Centre Manager

Helen believes in a child centred approach where children are encouraged to reach their full potential,become independent and develop a thirst for learning and enjoys leading and working as part of a happy team. As Centre Manager, Helen encourages personal development for all staff and aims to create a warm nurturing exciting learning environment for both the children and staff.

Helen has more than 25 years experience working with children and families both here and in England. Having trained at London University and achieving an Early Childhood Teaching degree, Helen was involved in the set up and management of one of the first work based childcare centres in Australia for the ABC television. Helen also established and managed the Early Learning Centre for Shore school as well as co-ordinating 12 services for Uniting Care. Helen has also mentored students for Macquarie University as well having acted as a consultant for many corporate child care centres.

Having been recognized for her work with children and families by Children’s Week, work and family’s awards as well as employee of the year, Helen is delighted to be working at Giraffe Early Learning Centre and looks forward to sharing the centre with you.
